Safer Festive Season Operations continue in Kimberley

NORTHERN CAPE – High police visibility was displayed throughout the day in Kimberley as part of Safer Festive Season Operations.
The District Commander of Francis Baard, Major General Johan Bean led by example when he manned the roadblock in Kimberley along the Douglas Road. The District Commander was joined by Col Piet Mokoena from Supply Chain Management.
The purpose of the roadblock was to ensure that no stolen goods are transported, adherence to Road Traffic Act regulations and also compliance in terms of the Disaster Management Act regulations.
Brig Dick de Waal (Provincial Detectives) and Brig Bossie Jacobs ( TMS) were in charge of the roadblock along the Boshoff road.
Members of various components in the province are in the streets making sure that Kimberley, Galeshewe, Kagisho and Roodepan police stations are augmented in terms of human resource to deal with crime effectively, especially during the festive period.
