President Ramaphosa Extends Condolences Following Makhado Crash


Pretoria: President Cyril Ramaphosa has passed his condolences to the nations of Zimbabwe and Malawi, who lost compatriots in a bus crash on Sunday. The crash, which took place near Makhado, claimed the lives of some 42 people, who were on their way back home from Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape.



According to South African Government News Agency, President Ramaphosa expressed that the incident is a tragedy for South Africa as well as for the sister states of Zimbabwe and Malawi. The President highlighted the compounded sadness of the event occurring during South Africa’s annual Transport Month, which emphasizes the importance of road safety.
