Abrahams to Visit KZN Apparel Manufacturer Celrose

Durban: Trade, Industry and Competition Deputy Minister Alexandra Abrahams is set to visit Celrose, a prominent apparel and fashion company located in oThongathi, Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, on Wednesday. This oversight visit underscores the government's commitment to fostering economic growth and job creation through a robust manufacturing sector.

According to South African Government News Agency, the visit will be preceded by a keynote address delivered by Abrahams at the 20th Anniversary and Annual General Meeting of the Clothing and Textile Cluster (KZNCTC), hosted at the Toyota Wessels Institute of Manufacturing Studies (TWIMS) in Kloof. The engagements signify the government's ongoing efforts to collaborate with the industry, aiming to enhance competitiveness and unlock potential opportunities for local businesses.

The Department of Trade, Industry and Competition emphasized that the initiative is aligned with the government's strategy to strengthen value chains within the Clothing and Textile sector. By doing so, it aims to expand employment opportunities and support investment in the region.
