Cape town: The South African National Parks (SANParks) has announced the immediate suspension of the indemnity and verification form requirement at Table Mountain National Park. This decision aims to address the concerns expressed by visitors and tourism partners.
According to South African Government News Agency, SANParks has committed to implementing a fully digitised ID and passport verification system at the park gates over the next 12 months. This system will incorporate high-speed scanning technology to ensure accurate compliance while enhancing the visitor experience.
The indemnity and verification form was initially introduced to strengthen verification and governance processes. However, feedback from park attendees prompted the agency to reconsider and focus on a more seamless and efficient solution.
